Artwork for Just Playing exhibition:
Cyclic

In this work, I wanted to incorporate and make evident the various processes of making in painting. The work, which has undergone different stages of creation and destruction, is about the intuitive qualities that are central to "playing". Using both discarded and found material in the making, I have worked in an iterative way to allow for both the intentional and unintentional outcomes of the making to be present in the work.
