Victor Pedrosa

Ceramicist Sculptor

Victor Pedrosa, a ceramicist and co-founder of Rescued Clay, crafts sustainable ceramics using clay sourced from construction sites. His journey in pottery began during a therapy session, which deeply ingrained in him the healing and connective power of the medium. With a background in neuroscience, Victor infuses his work with a focus on emotion and human connections, always aiming at build communities through art.

Artwork for Just Playing exhibition:

The Faces We See is a growing collection of ceramic faces that attempts to highlight how completely different objects can still be seen as a face. our brains have a special area responsible for recognising faces and emotions. Because of that, humans see faces everywhere, from plugs on the wall to arches under a bridge. Following what now became a signature workshop, Victor started to grow this collection of sculptures, each with their individual features and emotions, but all of them faces. The playful nature of these workshops means anyone, from any age can get involved. Using clay sourced from construction sites, the surprises do not stop when the sculpting finishes, but only when the piece comes out of the kiln.
